The Cyrix-Li-ion 230A is a heavy-duty, microprocessor-controlled relay specifically designed for systems using Victron LiFePO4 batteries. Lithium batteries require precise management to prevent cell undervoltage, overvoltage, and temperature extremes. The Cyrix series acts as the robust switch that protects your battery bank when chargers or loads cannot be controlled directly by the BMS.
Advanced Protection & Efficiency In combination with a VE.Bus BMS, the Cyrix series provides fail-safe protection. Thanks to virtually zero voltage loss, the Cyrix is a superior alternative to diode isolators; there is no need to adjust the output voltage of alternators or chargers.
Three Specialized Models:
Cyrix-Li-ct (Combiner): Creates a parallel connection between a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery. It engages at charging voltage (>13.4V) and disconnects upon voltage drop (<13.2V) or BMS command. Includes Start Assist (30-second emergency start).
Cyrix-Li-Charge: Ensures safe charger connection. It engages when the BMS charge output is high and the charger side measures >13.0V. It disconnects immediately upon cell overvoltage or temperature peaks.
Cyrix-Li-Load: Disconnects loads instantly in the event of imminent cell undervoltage to prevent permanent damage from deep discharge.
