The Insulation Monitoring Model Type 2 is designed to ensure the safety of your 230Vac network in mobile or movable units. This essential device continuously monitors the insulation resistance of your IT system (unearthed/floating network) and guarantees immediate and complete intervention upon the detection of an unsafe situation. One Insulation Monitor replaces all other Residual Current Devices (RCDs).
Permanent Monitoring: The model continuously measures the insulation resistance and immediately interrupts the 230Vac power supply as soon as the threshold value is exceeded.
Patented AMP Technology: For a guaranteed 100% safe operation under all circumstances, this model measures using the patented Adaptive Measure Pulse (AMP) technology.
Universal Protection: This system replaces all other RCDs, ensuring a simple and reliable electrical installation.
Legal Requirement: The installation of such protection is mandatory for commercially used driving and movable units equipped with an AC power generator (inverter/generator). Examples include mobile workshops and fire trucks.
