The Victron AGM Deep Cycle batteries have a very low internal resistance, making them ideal for high-current discharge applications. This includes powering high-demand equipment such as inverters, bow thrusters, winches, and starter motors.
The sealed (VRLA) AGM technology stands for "Absorbent Glass Mat." In these Victron AGM batteries, the electrolyte is absorbed into a glass fiber mat clamped between the plates using capillary action. Compared to Gel batteries, these batteries are better suited for delivering very high currents for short periods, such as when starting an engine.
All batteries comply with European CE and American UL specifications, are housed in a fire-resistant ABS casing, and come with Victron Energy's global 2-year warranty.
Long lifespan: A Victron VRLA AGM battery has an expected lifespan of 7 to 10 years.
High current discharge: Very suitable for delivering high currents over a short period, such as when starting an engine.
Sealed design: The AGM technology makes the battery leak-proof and maintenance-free.
Absorbed electrolyte: The fluid is completely absorbed into the glass fiber mat.
Meets safety standards: Certified according to CE and UL standards with a fire-resistant casing.
The nominal capacity of 220Ah for Victron Deep Cycle batteries is based on a 20-hour discharge (a discharge current of 0.05C). Please note that the effective capacity decreases as the discharge current increases. The included table illustrates this effect.
