The Cyrix-Li-ct is a heavy-duty microprocessor-controlled relay specifically designed for systems using Victron LiFePO4 batteries. Lithium batteries require precise monitoring to prevent cell undervoltage, overvoltage, and overtemperature. The Cyrix works seamlessly with the VE.Bus BMS to provide optimal protection for your battery bank.
The Heart of Your Lithium Protection The VE.Bus BMS is at the core of the safety measures. Since not all chargers or loads can be controlled directly by a BMS, the Cyrix acts as the powerful switch that intervenes when necessary. Voltage loss is virtually zero, so no adjustments to the alternator or charger output are required.
Three Crucial Functions:
Cyrix-Li-ct (Combiner): Creates a parallel connection between a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery. It engages when the charge voltage exceeds 13.4V and disconnects immediately when the voltage drops below 13.2V or when the BMS sends an alarm signal.
Cyrix-Li-Charge: Connects the battery charger with a short delay, provided the BMS charge output is active and voltage is present on the charger side. It disconnects instantly upon a BMS alarm.
Cyrix-Li-Load: Disconnects loads immediately in the event of imminent cell undervoltage to prevent deep discharge.
