The Victron BCD 802 diode battery combiner is used to guarantee a continuous DC power supply to mission-critical equipment, such as electronic engine control systems, navigation instruments, or backup systems. By connecting two DC power sources (such as batteries or chargers) in parallel, a redundant system is created. If one source fails, the power supply to the critical load remains guaranteed without interruption.
Key Features:
High Reliability: Ensures continuity by providing redundancy in case of a power source failure.
Minimal Voltage Loss: Thanks to advanced Schottky diodes, the voltage drop is very low: approximately 0.3V at low current and 0.45V at rated output.
Efficient Combining: Allows two sources to jointly supply the peak load without affecting each other.
Safety Warning: Due to heat generation under high load, this device must only be mounted on a non-flammable surface.
