The Flettner TCX-2 roof ventilator is a high-performance wind-powered extraction fan designed for commercial vans, trucks, trailers, campervans and other vehicles with a suitable roof structure. Its advanced rotor and integrated air concentrator provide powerful ventilation without an electrical connection.
According to Flettner, the TCX-2 delivers almost twice the extraction performance of the Flettner 2000 under comparable conditions, making it particularly suitable for larger cargo areas.
The TCX-2 operates using natural wind and airflow generated while driving. It can also extract air when the vehicle is stationary, provided there is sufficient wind.
The circular standard base has a diameter of 145 mm and is intended for sufficiently wide, flat mounting surfaces.
The oval narrow base is 108 mm wide and is suitable for various ribbed vehicle roofs with narrower flat mounting areas.
Important: Measure the available flat mounting area before ordering. For particularly narrow roof profiles, the Flettner Slimline LPV may be a more suitable option.
Please note: Standard mounting and sealing components are already included. Additional sealant or separate fixings are not normally necessary for a suitable installation carried out according to Flettner instructions.
Vehicles with interior headlining may require a separately available Flettner TCX-2 adapter to bridge the space between the outer roof and interior lining.
Actual airflow depends on wind speed, installation position, air inlets and vehicle design. The stated extraction rate is an indicative test figure rather than a guaranteed constant output.
Air flowing around the roof ventilator causes its rotor to turn. The integrated air concentrator and centrifugal fan help extract air from inside the vehicle.
As the ventilator has no electric motor, performance varies with available wind. Constant extraction cannot be guaranteed in completely still conditions.
Replacement air must be able to enter the vehicle for effective extraction. A suitable floor ventilation grille provides an additional air inlet.
