How does the 3-position switch work?

On a compatible reversible DC motor, changing the polarity of the electrical supply reverses the motor rotation and therefore the airflow direction.

• Intake: draws fresh outside air into the vehicle.
• Off: switches the roof ventilator off.
• Extraction: removes air from the vehicle through the roof.

This makes it possible to choose the appropriate direction for the conditions inside the vehicle.

Important: turn the motor off before changing the airflow direction.

Compatibility with G&C LeMans and Round roof fans

The kit is a useful accessory for suitable conventional G&C LeMans and Round ventilators with reversible DC motors.

It is particularly useful with compatible BASIC and PLUS versions that do not already include an electrical connection kit.

Use with suitable 12V or 24V vehicle systems is possible when the switch, fuses, cable rating and motor specifications are compatible.

Not suitable for LeMans LL Brushless

The G&C LeMans LL Brushless range uses a different motor control system and does not reverse rotation simply by swapping supply polarity.

This 3-position reversing kit is not intended for LeMans LL Brushless motors. Use the dedicated connection kit with 2-position switch for that series.

Combining with a PWM speed controller

If you also want adjustable fan speed, you can add a compatible PWM speed controller such as Vanworx product 30-3004.

The 3-position switch selects airflow direction, while the PWM controller adjusts fan speed. Always verify the correct wiring arrangement before combining these components.

1. Verify that the roof ventilator supports reversal by changing supply polarity.
