Product description

Stainless Steel Floor Ventilation Grille – Ø129 mm Cut-Out, Ø176 mm Top Diameter

Create a practical ventilation opening in the floor of your commercial van, camper or trailer with this stainless steel floor ventilation grille. Designed for passive air exchange, the grille is a useful addition to electric or wind-driven roof ventilation systems.

Installation requires a round floor opening of Ø129 mm. The upper section, which remains visible above the vehicle floor, has a diameter of Ø176 mm.

With its robust stainless steel construction and passive operation, this floor ventilation grille offers a durable solution for vehicles where effective air circulation is important.

Important installation dimensions
  • Required cut-out / floor opening: Ø129 mm
  • Visible top diameter: Ø176 mm
  • Material: stainless steel
  • Ventilation type: passive, without electrical power

Key benefits

  • Passive floor ventilation: supports air exchange without an electric motor.
  • Stainless steel construction: strong and durable for vehicle applications.
  • Ø129 mm cut-out: clearly defined opening size for installation.
  • Ø176 mm visible top: covers the edge of the floor opening.
  • No electrical connection: independent of 12V and 24V vehicle systems.
  • No motor noise: contains no powered components.
  • Supports roof ventilation: can provide replacement air when a roof fan extracts air from the vehicle.
  • Versatile applications: suitable for commercial vans, trucks, campers and trailers with appropriate floor construction.

How does floor ventilation work?

When a roof ventilator extracts air from a vehicle, replacement air needs a suitable route into the interior. A correctly positioned floor ventilation grille can provide an additional opening at a low level.

Combined with a roof fan operating in extraction mode, this may support airflow from the lower part of the vehicle towards the roof.

The grille itself has no motor. Actual airflow depends on wind, temperature differences, pressure conditions, other openings and any powered ventilation equipment installed in the vehicle.

Combining the floor grille with roof ventilation

This stainless steel floor grille is a practical addition to suitable vehicle ventilation systems.

  • Electric roof fans: including compatible G&C LeMans and Round models.
  • Wind-driven roof ventilators: including suitable Flettner models.
  • Passive ventilation: combined with properly positioned roof or side ventilation openings.

Choose the mounting location based on the vehicle layout, intended airflow path and ventilation requirements.

Installing the grille in the vehicle floor

Fit the grille into a round Ø129 mm floor opening. Its Ø176 mm upper section remains visible above the floor surface.

  1. Select a suitable location based on the desired airflow.
  2. Inspect beneath the vehicle floor for wiring, pipes, tanks, structural members and other obstructions.
  3. Mark a circular opening with a diameter of Ø129 mm.
  4. Carefully cut the opening using appropriate tools.
  5. Protect any exposed metal edges against corrosion.
  6. Position the grille and check the fit of the Ø176 mm upper section.
  7. Secure the grille using an appropriate installation method and finish the joint to the floor carefully.
  8. Ensure that the ventilation opening remains free from dirt, floor coverings and other obstructions.

Installation advice: consider vehicle ground clearance, road spray and the structure of the floor. Check whether additional fixing or sealing materials are required before installation.

Suitable vehicle applications

  • Commercial vans and delivery vehicles
  • Service vehicles and mobile workshops
  • Campervans and motorhomes
  • Enclosed trailers
  • Trucks with suitable floor construction
  • Special-purpose vehicles requiring an additional air opening

A properly designed ventilation system can help reduce moisture accumulation and unpleasant odours. The grille alone does not guarantee the prevention of condensation.

Safety notice: transporting gas cylinders, fuels or dangerous goods may require specific ventilation arrangements. This grille has no confirmed certification for those regulated applications. Always follow the applicable requirements.

Frequently asked questions

What is the required cut-out diameter?
The round opening in the vehicle floor must be Ø129 mm.

What is the visible diameter above the floor?
The upper section of the grille measures Ø176 mm.

Does the grille require electricity?
No. It operates passively and does not require a motor or electrical connection.

Can I combine it with a roof fan?
Yes. A suitable floor opening can support replacement air supply when a roof fan extracts air from the vehicle.

Can it be installed in both 12V and 24V vehicles?
Yes. The grille does not use electricity, so vehicle voltage is irrelevant.

Are mounting accessories included?
The exact fixing hardware supplied has not been separately confirmed. Check the product details before installation.

Is the floor grille waterproof?
No. It is an open ventilation component. Correct positioning and installation are important to manage exposure to water and road spray.
